About Us – Eva and Norbert, Lovers of Travel
Hello! We are Eva and Norbert, a couple who decided seven years ago to organize our lives around discovery and experiences. Both of us run our own businesses – primarily online stores where we sell our own products across Europe – but our true passion in life is traveling, especially cruises.
Since winters in Hungary are cold and gray, we seek warmer destinations every year. Traveling has become our way of life: we spend 6-7 months away from home annually, with 3-4 of those months aboard a cruise ship, discovering new cultures, flavors, and destinations.
For us, cruising is not just a convenient way to travel but an adventure that allows us to visit multiple countries in a short period of time. Often, during a cruise, we come across places that enchant us so much that we later return and spend up to a month there, immersing ourselves in the local culture and lifestyle.
Over the years, we’ve learned a lot about how to plan a smooth, hassle-free cruise. In the beginning, we faced many challenges, but today we organize all our trips independently, without travel agencies. We created this blog to share our experiences and help others plan their own cruise adventures easily and stress-free.
Why Do We Love Cruises?
Cruising is not only simple and convenient but also offers so much more. One of our favorite destinations is the Caribbean – nowhere else does the sea have such crystal-clear turquoise waters. Floating in the middle of the ocean, arriving at new places, and exploring the world’s breathtaking landscapes give us a true sense of freedom.
What makes cruises particularly special is their cost-effectiveness: when you compare the price of flights, accommodations, and meals, a cruise is often more affordable than a traditional vacation. We especially love longer cruises, lasting at least a month, as they allow us to fully immerse ourselves in the experience and discover unique destinations.
Our Lifestyle and Philosophy
We believe that life should be lived to the fullest now, not by postponing big dreams. We often hear people say, “I’ll travel when I retire.” We didn’t want to wait. We decided to start exploring while we could, and we want to share this mindset with others.
We’re open-minded, love meeting new people, and enjoy hearing their stories. On cruises, we’re just as likely to have a conversation with a crew member as with a billionaire business owner. For us, a person’s value isn’t about their social status but about what we can learn from each other.
While we’re not backpackers and do appreciate comfort, luxury is not our priority. What matters most to us is gaining meaningful, unforgettable experiences. We believe that travel offers far more value than any material possession and that exploring new places should be accessible to everyone.
